Pomp and circumstance威 風凜凜進行曲”

是聖經裡“諾亞方舟”的故事。
以莎士比亞四大悲劇之一「奧賽羅」（Othello）第三幕第三場景的著名台詞「威風凜凜」 （Pomp and Circumstance）為標題。
5首威風凜凜進行曲：第一首與 第二首均作於1901年；第三首作於1904年；第四首作於1907年；第五首作於1930年。為這首曲子填上歌詞，並成為英國人家喻戶曉的合唱曲「希望與榮耀之地」。
